Viton Rubber sheeting is a synthetic rubber and fluoropolymer elastomer commonly used in the gasket industry. Viton Rubber provides excellent resistance to heat, oil and chemicals. These properties make Viton Rubber sheet well suited for hot grease, engine and compressor type applications. In addition Vuton sheet is resistant to a wide range of concentrated acids. Application for Viton sheet should be known and specified prior to use.
Viton Rubber sheeting is designed to survive and thrive in the harshest of environments, showing great reliability in extreme temperatures and when exposed to a large range of chemicals. Compared to other rubber sheeting, Viton Rubber maintains its mechanical qualities significantly better when exposed to extreme conditions, and the chemical and oil resistant properties do not change significantly at higher temperatures.
Viton Rubber resists degradation from many types of chemicals, including fuels, oils, lubricants, mineral acids, and oxygenated automotive fuels. Viton Rubber also maintains its elasticity when exposed to heat, even at temperatures that make other rubbles become brittle. Viton shows resistance to UV, oxidation, mould, and other weathering factors. Viton rubber has good electrical properties in low voltage situations, as well as low burning characteristics.
Viton Rubber is not compatible with keytones such as acetone, ester solvents, amines, and organic acids.
Viton rubber comes in standard 48″ rolls, and is sold per square foot.
