Urethane Rubber Sheeting (Also known as Polyurethane) is an incredibly strong and versatile material. Unlike many other rubber materials, Urethane’s high strength and high density make it an excellent material in cases where high abrasion or cutting resistance, or load bearing are deciding factors. Urethane can handle high impact applications where other rubbers would fail, and it has a extremely high tensile strength. Urethane Rubber is also chemical and oil resistant.
Urethane often outperforms other materials due to its high flexibility as a versatile product. Urethane sheeting is both cut and abrasion resistant, while still being machinable and resilient. Urethane also has a lower tooling cost, with elastic memory and a high load capacity. Urethane sheeting meets the highest industry specifications for thickness and durometer, making it an excellent choice for severe applications.
Urethane Sheeting is commonly used as a replacement for other traditional rubbers, due to its improved wear capabilties. Urethane sheeting can last up to 4 times longer than some rubber materials, and resists deformation of repetitive loads better than many other rubbers. Urethane rubber is resistant to UV exposure, oils and fuels, and resists degradation over time.
Urethane Rubber brings together the flexibility of rubber with the strength of metal. Due to its versatility, it can be used to replace many types of components, often leading to improved time between required component maintenance. With improved material quality, Urethane improve the life of machinery, and reduces plant downtime. This ensures more efficient machinery and maintenance overall.
Urethane comes in standard 48″ wide sheets and is sold per square foot.
