Tridicator – 1/2″ NPT Back Mount

Tridicators are Multipourpose pressure gauges designed specifically for use in hot water and steam pressure applications for boilers. Tridicators are designed to withstand the high heat of steam, while displaying accurate results for the Tridicators multi-purpose face. Every Tridicator has 2 dials built into the face plate, one that displays the pressure in both KPA and PSI, as well as a second indicator to display temperatures in both °C and °F.

Center Mount Pressure Gauges come with a connection point on the back of the gauge for mounting on horizontal pipe connections as well as for mounting into pressure gauge panel mounts and work stations. Center Mount Pressure Gauges connect with a 1/2″ NPT connection, commonly standard for many pressure gauges. Note: Check procedures for the Center Mount Pressure Gauge prior to installation, as some gauges require preparation before attachment.

Liquid pressure gauges are a step up in pressure gauge technology. These pressure gauges are used in nearly every facet of industry, from common commercial applications to heavy-duty high pressure hydraulic applications and much more. Liquid pressure gauges are built with a glycol filling which completely encapsulates the internal mechanisms. The glycol within the Liquid Pressure Gauges offers many great benefits to the pressure gauge usage. The glycol protects the internal components of the liquid pressure gauge from corrosion, and due to the heavier nature of glycol, reduces the impact of vibration of the accuracy of the gauge. The glycol also acts as a lubricant, keeping the components of the Liquid Pressure Gauge moving and working much more efficiently than dry pressure gauges. Due to this factor, liquid pressure gauges offer a much longer service life than their dry counterparts.

Always make sure that you are using the correct pressure gauge for your application! When selecting a pressure gauge, make sure to select one with a pressure range that is at least double your maximum operating pressure. In situations that call for temperatures above 150°F or below -20°F, contact us for options made for extreme temperatures. While many pressure gauges are capable of existing in high or low temperature environments, some models will experience glass yellowing or inaccuracy due to temperature fluctuations. If you application uses corrosive or oxidizing media, a diaphragm seal may be needed to protect the pressure gauge from degradation that can lead to failure.

Pressure gauges are not designed to be moved indiscriminately from one application to another. Repetitive reuse can cause strain on the pressure gauge, resulting in inaccuracy of calibration or short service life. Whenever possible, always use new pressure gauges when replacements are required. For ease of replacement and maintenance, it is suggested that a valve be used on the pressure gauge connection so replacement and maintenance of pressure gauges can be done without disrupting facility operations.
