Filter grease and oil from stormwater runoff with the Stormwater Filter Deck. Oils and grease can be a problem in the rain. Containers from restaurants can often leak and flow away with rainwater, even sealed containers risk releasing residual oils. With the Stormwater Filter Deck, oils and grease can get filtered from the stormwater before it is released into the street and down the drain, preventing environmental damage. Stormwater Filter Decks are excellent for use underneath dumpsters, grease collection tanks, outdoor machinery or equipment.
Stormwater Filter Decks are heavy-duty polyethylene units that use Ultra-X-Tex® material, a high-performance oil absorbent, below removable grating to remove oil, grease and other hydrocarbons from stormwater runoff. As water flows through the unit, X-Tex fabric absorbs the hydrocarbons from the stormwater, before they flow through the runoff ports. Stormwater Filter Decks have ports located in the base of units to drain off clean stormwater.
Once the Stormwater Filter Deck has run through water, the fully saturated Ultra-X-Tex® roll of absorbent is quickly and easily removed and replaced. The amount of time that elapses before the X-Tex media needs to be replaced will be dependent on the amount of oil that is present in the water that gets filtered. It is recommended that you inspect the filter media after the first significant rainfall to get a gauge of how much oil is present. The X-Tex media should be replaced shortly before it is completely saturated.
Stormwater Filter Decks feature an all-polyethylene construction that will not rust or corrode. Stormwater Filter Decks are black in color to hide dirt commonly accumulated in outdoor usage.
