Stem Mount Pressure Gauges come with a mount at the bottom of the pressure gauge for easy connection to vertical pipes and for wall installations. Stem Mount Pressure Gauges connects with a 1/4" NPT connection, commonly standard for many pressure gauges. Note: Check procedures for the Stem Mount Pressure Gauge prior to installation, as some gauges require preparation before attachment.

Dry Pressure Gauges are an incredibly common component used in modern industry. These pressure gauges are used in everything from common bike pumps and air compressors, up to industrial use in factories and pipe works. Dry Pressure Gauges are built with an air-filled casing which protects the internal components of the pressure gauge. Dry pressure gauges are suggested for nearly every application of pressure measurement, and don’t require monitoring for glycol levels like is needed for liquid pressure gauges. Additionally, without glycol filling the case, calibration and maintenance of pressure gauges is much simpler. Dry pressure gauges are not fool proof however, and moisture penetrating the casing can obscure the glass cover, or freeze in low temperatures.
Always make sure that you are using the correct pressure gauge for your application! When selecting a pressure gauge, make sure to select one with a pressure range that is at least double your maximum operating pressure. In situations that call for temperatures above 150°F or below -20°F, contact us for options made for extreme temperatures. While many pressure gauges are capable of existing in high or low temperature environments, some models will experience glass yellowing or inaccuracy due to temperature fluctuations. If you application uses corrosive or oxidizing media, a diaphragm seal may be needed to protect the pressure gauge from degradation that can lead to failure.
Pressure gauges are not designed to be moved indiscriminately from one application to another. Repetitive reuse can cause strain on the pressure gauge, resulting in inaccuracy of calibration or short service life. Whenever possible, always use new pressure gauges when replacements are required. For ease of replacement and maintenance, it is suggested that a valve be used on the pressure gauge connection so replacement and maintenance of pressure gauges can be done without disrupting facility operations.
